Unusual storyline, very enjoyable

Orphaned Lucinda has always longed for a family of her own, never feeling the call to be a nun as the orphanage wanted for her. A misunderstanding at the rail station leads her to Riley, who’s expecting his mail order bride and thrilled when he thinks it’s Lucinda. She doesn’t quite match what he was expecting, but she’s happy about joining his ready made family. Then disaster strikes in the form of his ‘actual’ intended, and Riley is stunned to find out he’s been misled. Devastated, Riley withdraws into worrying about the strike looming at his mine. As the town works to overcome their escalating problems, their children become a pawn and Lucinda will have to risk everything to save them.
